Jaari, starring Dayahang Rai and Miruna Magar, depicts a typical husband-wife argument caused by infertile concerns. The filmmakers put the Limbu community’s traditional beliefs on the big screen.
In the Limbu culture, once the woman abandons the husband, Jaari must be given to compensate the husband for his loss/grief. In the trailer, Dayahang and Miruna’s marriage isn’t going well, and they’ve just had a slew of troubles. Dayahang desires a child from his wife, but they are unable to do it owing to many difficulties. As a result, Dayahang threatens Miruna with leaving her and marrying another lady. Hearing all of this, she couldn’t stay in Daya’s house and returned to her family.
Upendra Subba, the writer, and director, has offered Nepalese viewers with a fresh and distinctive narrative. The creators have made the unique customs and communal concerns that are happening in society appear fully alive.
