Mahapurush Movie Story:
Hari Bansha Acharya is presented as the father of two sons, Rabindra Singh Baniya (the oldest son of the home) and Arun Chhetri (the younger son of the household). Hari Bansha is managing and supporting the entire family in the aftermath of his wife’s death. He looks after the house, cooks for the family, and spends his free time with his family and the residents of Aadarsh Nagar community. His two sons see their father as a role model in their life.
Arun Chhetri, the younger son, intends to marry one of the nurses and immigrate to Australia for a better future. He went to the educational consultant several times for paperwork and application processes. He also enjoys spending time with his father and friends in his spare time.
Hari Bansha’s health was worsening at home as a consequence of stress and isolation, so he went to the doctor for frequent checkups. As a remedy, the doctor proposes that Mr. Hari’s loved ones accompany him to see art, theater, or travel for fresh air and relaxation. Accepting the doctor’s recommendation, the old man is taken to a local drama theater where various plays are performed for the public. Hari Bansha meets Gauri Malla, a drama performer, in the theater and they become good friends before falling in love. And because societal standards do not recognize the love story and marriage of the elderly, their love poses a significant danger to their family and society.
Mahapurush Movie Cast & Performance:
In Mahapurush, Hari Bansha Acharya gives one of his greatest performances, and the film is unquestionably one of his best. In the film, he portrays a single father whose wife died and who is now responsible for his two sons. He is a kind, humble, and helpful guy who has no malice in his heart. Everyone admires him the most because of his devotion to his family and community. With all of these human characteristics and actions, he acts as a role model for his sons. Because his story and acting are so emotional, realistic, and forceful, Hari Bansha’s character will make you cry while watching the film. We admire his life story and the interactions in the film that make us laugh and weep. Outstanding performance. Wow!
Arun Chhetri (who portrays Bigyan) makes his feature film debut with Mahapurush, and he performs an excellent job. We believe he has a bright future in the Nepalese film business based on his performance. Mr. Arun is Hari Bansha’s youngest son, a naïve and befuddled young man in his youth. He hasn’t made a decent decision in his life that he is proud of, but he has fallen in love with a girl and considers her to be the finest decision he has ever made. In the film, Arun Chhetri’s persona ranges from pretentious to empathetic. Outstanding effort!
Anjana Baraili (who portrays Pratistha) is Arun Chhetri’s love interest. Pratistha is shown in the film as a clever and conscientious lady who want to be self-sufficient and satisfied in order to support her family. She is currently finishing nursing school and aiming for a higher profession in Australia, with Bigyan as a companion. Anjana Baraili shone in the film’s love scenes and as a hardworking lady. Her performance was outstanding.
Rabindra Singh Baniya plays Hari Bansha’s eldest son. He is a forceful and unyielding man who established a school that stressed respect above all else. He adores his father and dedicates a book to him in order to show his affection for him. And when he discovers his father’s infidelity, he acts like hell. Mr. Rabindra portrays a dark character in the film and performs an outstanding job.
Another renowned character in the film is Gauri Malla. She appears as a theatrical actress and as the love interest of Hari Bansha Acharya. She is forthright and severe. Gauri Malla’s character in the film plays Hari Bansha, and seeing these people makes you realize that love is the most powerful force in the universe. Gauri Malla delivered an outstanding performance.
Madan Krishna Shrestha follows the teachings of Hari Bansha Acharya. After learning about and comprehending Hari Bansha’s lifestyle, Madan Krishna’s feelings for his in-laws continue to grow. He adores his child and desires her only the best. The role of Madan Krishna as a parent and in-law is remarkable.
Direction & Story Telling:
Pradip Bhattarai, the film’s writer, and director, has given Nepalese audiences one of the year’s greatest pictures. With great writing and plotlines, the filmmaker’s vision and tale keep the audience fascinated. As the film nears its conclusion, the journey of the film’s hilarious and melancholy characters brings tears and smiles to the audience’s faces.
