Nischal Basnet triumphantly returns as a filmmaker with the movie Dimag Kharab. Absolutely fantastic film that is well-structured and content-rich for Nepali film viewers.
Dimag Kharab Movie Story
Indra Sharma (Khagendra Lamichhane) is at the airport, preparing to go to another nation for work opportunities, however, he receives no permission to travel owing to missing documents. After being deported from the airport, he returns to the workforce firm to address the rejection matter. The agency estimates that obtaining the visa will take a few months; but, if the Mayor speaks with those in authority, the task may be completed fast.
He goes to the Mayor’s office in the hopes of organizing the paperwork and traveling overseas to work, but he is unable to acquire an appointment. He takes numerous steps to complete his assignment, but the Mayor (Arpan Thapa) is out of reach. In all these hardships, Indra seeks the help of his close buddy Bhola (Dayahang Rai). When nothing else works, Indra assures the mayor that if his job is completed, he will get 100 votes for mayor in the next election. He walks as promised, but when he discovers the true cause for his visa denial, everything becomes dizzying and heartbreaking.
Dimag Kharab Movie Cast & Performance
Khagendra Lamichhane plays the protagonist in the film Dimag Kharab and delivers an excellent performance. A simple villager with no lofty goals other than a basic and sustainable family living. Khagendra has played the character of Indra brilliantly and soulfully. In the film, the character perfectly supports the story’s needs and feelings. Audiences leave his narrative feeling both unusual and powerful. He carries the axe and threatens the guys who attacked his family at one point. That is completely – amazing. Outstanding performance.
Swastima Khadka (Sachi) has completely wowed the audience with her lovely and charming performance throughout the film. Swastima plays Khagendra’s wife in the film and does an excellent job in the part. The audience is moved to tears by Swastima’s feelings of poverty and working all day to sustain a family. Swastima has made significant progress in crafting her performance and bringing her persona to life. Swastima’s dialog and idioms are realistic and one-of-a-kind. What an amazing performance! It was fantastic. Wow!
Dayahang Rai (Bhola) is a colorful and upbeat character in the film who makes the audience laugh and smile with his amusing interactions. Dayahang and Khagendra are regarded as friends who are always there for one another in any crisis. Similarly, Daya’s friendship and support for his friend is a delightful experience to witness at the theater. As a supporting role, he kept the character in good shape, and the audience thoroughly loved his portrayal. It was awesome!
Arpan Thapa (Hari Prasad) is portrayed as an adversary in the film. His portrayal of a corrupt mayor/politician is a lethal villain. Arpan’s performance is outstanding, and he once again astounded the crowd with his jaw-dropping performance. Whenever he appears on screen, he plays a character filled with rage and dark allure. Excellent work!
In the film, Bijay Baral (Bale) is portrayed as Arpan Thapa’s right-hand man, who is usually enraged and out of control. Bijay is utterly out of his element in the film Dimag Kharab, but he plays the part with ease. Audiences went nuts when Bijay and Khagendra clashed. This evil figure is an exciting encounter with a mind-boggling persona. It was terrific.

Mr. Basnet is able to meet the demands of the audience in the picture and does not compromise on his efforts. Excellent work.
Aakash Baral has developed an excellent story and screenplay. His writings and efforts bring each character to life in equal measure. The writer has given equal weight to each character in molding and constructing them. The movie’s tales and conversations are regional and real to the audience. Of course, the writer-director duo can be sensed in every part of the plot. Fantastic work!
Sushan Prajapati captured every scene in the picture smoothly. The visuals featured in the character’s tale are an exciting experience. Excellent job! Rajendra Moktan’s color and perspectives are great cinematic experiences that merit Sushan Prajapati’s cinematography. Pleasant experience. The background score by Rohit Shakya is noteworthy, adding a thrilling sensation to the character’s journey in Dimag Kharab.
