Mansarra Movie Story
Mansarra, a social drama film, tells the narrative of an independent mother who battles to live and raise her child. Manrani (Miruna Magar), who was formerly in love with Manang Chemjong (Dayahang Rai), moves to Kathmandu Valley following an unfortunate event. When they are in the village, they both adore one another; nevertheless, Manang travels overseas for employment and fails to return on time. During his absence, Manrani discovers she is pregnant, and marriage before pregnancy is not acceptable in her family or community. As a result, she runs away, leaving everything behind, and begins a new life.
Manrani lives in the new community next to Dadhiram Pokhrel (Praveen Khatiwada) and Nani Maya Shrestha (Menuka Pradhan). Her neighbors are experiencing infertility issues in their marriage, and as a result, they are unable to conceive a child. When Dadhiram comes closer to Manrani for business, Nani Maya is unable to bear her husband’s conduct, resulting in several issues and a disagreement between husband and wife.

Miruna Magar portrays the title role Manrani Limbu in the film Mansarra. In the film, Manrani is a wonderful and lovely independent single mother who works hard to support and nurture her child. She left the community since no one backed her or her love tale, and her husband has been absent for years. She earns her livelihood by manufacturing local liquor and raising pegs, which she sells at the local market. She has only one neighbor, a married couple, and her kid. Miruna Magar performed admirably in Mansarra. She plays one of the most difficult characters who must be loaded with emotional bonds of love, sadness, neutrality, and more, and she pulls it off to perfection. As the filmmakers reveal more of her biography, the audience becomes more sympathetic to the lady and her quest. Miruna’s conversations question this society’s brutality and imbalance in terms of societal norms and ideals. Miruna Magar’s portrayal of a single mother in the film Mansarra was both captivating and content. We absolutely appreciated her performance.
Dayahang Rai portrays Manang Chemjong, Miruna Magar’s love and partner, in the film. The romantic mood between Miruna and Dayahang is quite wonderful, as the filmmakers create a nice lyrical environment among the characters. Dayahang Rai has a brief role in the film; it would be nice if it could be further developed upon. Daya has done an excellent job as Miruna’s lover and as a person yearning for his lost love. His tone and resolution move the audience to tears as he portrays the emotion of letting go and being satisfied despite being a failure. Dayahang Rai accomplished his best in the film Mansarra.
Menuka Pradhan is seen as Nani Maya Shrestha. In the film Mansarra, she is portrayed as Praveen Khatiwada’s typical Newari wife, who is constantly in a violent attitude. Nani Maya’s character addresses the issue of communication between husband and wife. She also examines feelings of uneasiness when she lacks trust in her lover. As the narrative develops, the viewer becomes sympathetic to her story. In Mansarra, Menuka Pradhan performs one of the most significant performances in her career. She is entirely immersed in the persona; as an audience, we believe she is living the character. We feel her agony when she disputes with her husband, but she is too immature to fix it. The audience went crazy observing her power-pack performance. Menuka Pradhan is mesmerizing. Wow!
Praveen Khatiwada is seen playing another significant role, Dadhiram Pokhrel, who works hard both professionally and personally. He has married two women but has been unable to produce children as a consequence, which has devastated him. When he discovers he is unable to become a father owing to poor sperm quality, he feels powerless. Despite this, he and his wife decided to use IVF to conceive a kid after speaking with a specialist. While everything is well, he is drawn to his neighbor, Manrani, which complicates his relationship. Praveen Khatiwada has done his utmost to effectively justify the character he is portraying. His act demonstrates how vulnerable a guy maybe when his support systems (family, partner, society, and standards) do not acknowledge his feelings. Great performance. Loved it!
